“Coca‑Cola spring cleaning days” – Vatra Dornei

The Coca‑Cola System in Romania has announced plans to clean the banks of the Negrisoara River over a distance of around 10 km, upstream of its mineral water plants in Poiana Negri, to its entry into the Dorna River. More than 200 employees of Coca‑Cola HBC Romania from Floreni and Poiana Negri plants, have volunteered to join the clean-up, as well as 100 students from “Dorna Candrenilor” high school.

Known as “Coca‑Cola spring cleaning days”, the project is being carried out for the fourth consecutive year, in partnership with Dorna Candrenillor Town Hall, and with the support of the Environment Protection Agency Suceava and of Regional Water Branch.

The activities will be focused on selective waste collection, recovery of recyclable waste through authorized local business representatives, as well as on raking the green areas along main river bed.

The cleaning of the rivers banks in Vatra Dornei – an ecological preservation area where the Cola-Cola System in Romania holds two mineral water bottling plants, is a form of respecting commitments towards the preservation of the environment and natural resources.

We strongly believe that what is beneficial for our employees, for the communities in which we operate, and for the environment, is beneficial for our business as well. We hold responsibility towards the natural resources, and especially towards water, as the entire Coca‑Cola System relies on its quality.
