Let me say how pleased I was when I learned about Coca‑Cola HBC’s decision to expand their facility in Timis County. Coca‑Cola is an excellent example of corporate commitment in Romania, as they have been a solid presence here for the last 25 years. Coca‑Cola, one of America’s leading brands, will now be providing more jobs in Romania, and continuing their support for the communities in which they operate through their many corporate social responsibility programs.

The new can bottling line is based on a state-of-the-art innovative filling system patented by Krones – European leader in supplying technology for producing drinks and packaging – and its operation is ensured by 4 trained professionals per shift, supported by experts from the other departments in the plant. With a maximum production capacity of 90,000 units per hour, in 330 ml CAN packaging and 500 ml CAN packaging, the new can line will serve both the Romanian market, as well other European markets in future.

The Coca‑Cola HBC plant in Timisoara was inaugurated on the 12 of August. 1995. At the time, it featured 3 production lines, which have all been replaced with new and modern equipment. The products produced in the plant include Coca‑Cola, all the Fanta range, Sprite, Schweppes, Nestea and Joy. The products serve both the Romanian market but also other countries where the plant in Timisoara exports - Bulgaria, Croatia, Bosnia and Hertegovina, Macedonia, Greece and other neighbouring countries.
